A Special Opportunity to Ask the Doctor
Join us for a question-and-answer evening of conversational learning about women’s health issues. Dr. Ruth Schulze is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist with over forty years of experience and a long-standing affiliation with Valley Hospital and the Valley Medical Group.

About the event
Dr. Schulze will address vital areas of women’s health, including (1) the proper understanding of mammogram and breast ultrasound reports and effective management of this segment of one’s healthcare; (2) the correct understanding of bone density screenings, as well as the importance of accurate knowledge regarding potential treatments; (3) how to address hormonal issues, including hot flashes and vaginal pain, and the appropriateness of hormonal replacement therapy; (4) the vitalness of blood sugar control—besides in connection to diabetes—to ultimate longterm good health; and (5) the commonalities of good health and well-being in Blue Zones, including specific characteristics of their eating, drinking, exercise, community interchange, and other crucial mind-body connections. Dr. Ruth’s remarks will be followed by an extensive period during which she will respond to questions posed by attendees. Refreshments will be available.
Participants are asked to consider a donation of $20 per attendee, in memory of Richard Pearson, for the benefit of Covenant House, based in Newark, NJ. Covenant House provides sanctuary and support for youth, ages 18-21, facing homelessness or human trafficking.
